Educators want to align with global trendy career paths for their students, but the federal govt.must be Intentional about infusing them into the curriculum.
It’s hightime the government regig the curriculum to the 21st century realities that syllabuses must change to usher in marketabilty of these students when they graduate.
Mind you,not all of them will be graduates or employable ,so we need 21st century vocational skills academy not just anything goes.
In all,it was a well attended webinar with over 172 participants and we had powerful presentations from the education sector led by the rector of yaba college technology,former commissioner for education(lagosmrs.adefisayo,mrs.Ajala(abj.school owner ladel schools),Barr.Edodo,an international maritime lawyer,who opened the minds of the educators to the untapped world of maritime.
The webinar ended with a resolve to take the advocacy to a higher level where maritime education will be given attention to for its inclusion in the syllabus.
