• NATIONAL MARITIME E-QUIZ COMPETITION 4^TH EDITION

The 4^th edition of the National Maritime E-Quiz competition is schedule to hold between 11^th – 13^th October, 2023.

Within these three days, secondary school students (JSS 2 -to- S.S 2) across the six geopolitical zones of the federation will compete to be the ultimate Ocean Ambassador in this 4th virtual or E-Quiz competition.

The objective of this National Maritime E-Quiz is to:

• Enlighten students on the career opportunities in the maritime sector
• Ensure a nationwide drive for young people’s inclusive participation in the maritime sector
• Help students adapt to the digital learning ecosystem through the use of E-learning platforms

• AREAS OF CONCENTRATION FOR THE QUIZ COMPETITION

The e-quiz is centered on key areas of the maritime which includes: maritime career opportunities, shipping, freight forwarding, history of the Nigeria port authority, maritime regulatory agencies, current affairs about the Nigeria maritime sector etc.

• SCOPE OF THE E-QUIZ AND GETTING SET FOR THE COMPETITION

1. All students are required to fill the Registration Form, once the registration form has been filled, youtube link to: lecture series, videos and other materials will be sent to the registered email address.

You are required to click on the subscription bottom on the youtube channel for more updates. And ensure to watch all the video on the channel and as well read the materials that will be sent to you. You can research more to broaden your knowledge

2. The competition is a three phase competition. And it starts with the inter-state level. According to your registration, you will be grouped into your state (State of Residence) which falls into a particular geopolitical zone.

This stage is an elimination phase through a timed quiz, where you will be required to answer selected questions within a specific time to test speed and knowledge.
